Rhonda Burnough, Founder of R&M African American Museum
The R&M African American Museum came about because I wanted to share my collections with others. My nephew Austin “Commented when he was younger that we had a lot of collectables.” We never had to put them away when he and his brother or our four grandsons were babies and came to visit.
I was an Art collector of African American artist before I moved to Georgia. At that time, you could only purchase art from dealers and Art Galleries. I purchased a large portion of my collection from Heritage Art Gallery in Houston, Texas, Terry’s Florist and Art Gallery, Jerry Holloway’s Gallery and Eric I’ve Been Framed in Detroit, Michigan. We have artist proofs by Frank Frazier and Lionel Lofton. We have Ron Scarbrough a famous artist from Detroit among others. I remember someone visiting our click here to read more.
